Vande-kopple-portrait-square.jpegWe’re delighted to continue the William Vande Kopple Fellows program for admitted first year students (who are beginning in Fall 2024), who are interested in majoring in any area in English (linguistics, literature, secondary education, or writing).

Who can apply

Any incoming student interested in majoring in English (any part of the major).

What the fellow receives

  • a $3500 stipend to work with an English professor on the professor’s research during the Fellows’ first year
  • mentoring from an upper-class English major
  • additional scholarly/social opportunities

The application deadline was February 9, 2024.
