Alliance is an intentional living-learning community for student-athletes and any other students who are seeking to live an active lifestyle. Alliance is located in the Rho and Tau apartment buildings on the east end of Knollcrest East.

All members agree to participate in a weekly small group meeting or Bible study, commit to eating a meal together as an entire community once a month (either first or second Sunday of every month, 6–8 p.m.), and pledge to invest in the broader Calvin community. To participate, students must submit an application and references and go through an interview process with the advisor to Alliance, Bob Crow, Director of Commuter Student Life and Assessment. This housing option is available to any full-time student who will be of junior or senior status (sophomores only with special permission) when living in Alliance.
