International Orientation
A program designed especially for international students and their adult family members. It takes place just before the school year begins to help them transition to Calvin as smooth as possible. It deals with cultural, immigration, and logistical challenges in a new setting; helping students establish themselves in a strong community.

IMPACT is a new student orientation program for students who identify as Asian, Black, Latinx, Middle Eastern, multi-racial, Native American, Pacific Islander, or simply as a student of color.

UnLearn Week is a week of anti-racism programs designed to challenge the many generalizations, stereotypes and assumptions that maintain racism in our society.

Rangeela
Begun in 1996, every February the international student body puts on a colorful extravaganza of dance, song, and skits from around the world. One of Calvin’s most popular student led shows, it plays to sell-out crowds on both a Friday and Saturday night annually.

Poetry Jam
This is an annual event for students to showcase their poetic & musical talents. It is an evening in the Cave Cafe of artistic exploration including spoken word, music and visual art. If you're interested in participating, contact msdo@calvin.edu.

International Education Week
Each November, Calvin celebrates International Education Week. Highlights of this week include a student-led International Worship Service, workshops and seminars highlighting different international topics, an international movie, and of course, an offering of international foods and crafts—all designed for the campus' learning and enjoyment.

MLK Young Leaders Weekend
MLK Young Leaders Weekend is an annual three-day event for high school students to come to Calvin and learn about effecting positive social change by developing their leadership potential. The weekend is designed to explore the philosophy of Martin Luther King Jr. and the civil rights movement.

World Food Festival
International students prepare some of their delicious traditional dishes and in doing so, share a piece of their “home” with the Calvin community in a festival-like atmosphere.
