At Calvin, you’ll get the chance to perform both locally and internationally as a music student. Here’s just a few of the spectacular venues where Calvin students perform.

  • Costa Rica

The Calvin Orchestra performed across several beautiful cities in Costa Rica. Many students remember this ensemble tour as a highlight of their years at Calvin.

  • England & Wales

English churches have a long history of rich choral music that dates all the way back to the medieval period. Music students have visited such richly historic cathedrals in Cardiff, Cambridge, Ely, London, Salisbury, and Winchester for a month of singing and learning.

  • Grand Rapids, Michigan

Calvin alumnus Andrew Plaisier is a regular performer at Devos Performance Hall, a prominent modern theater that hosts both traditional and contemporary arts. He plays weekly with the Grand Rapids Symphony. 

  • Ireland

Women’s Chorale sang alongside local choirs in historic Irish cities like Galway during their month-long summer tour.

  • Seattle, Washington

Calvin alumna Ruth Vanden Bos has performed in Benaroya Hall, a beautiful performance venue in the heart of downtown Seattle. 

  • South Korea

For members of Gospel Choir, exploring multicultural worship is one of the best ways to build community. Gospel Choir has the chance to do that in South Korea for a few weeks in January.
