This interim course will offer students an opportunity to explore the issue of disability in a developing country from a multicultural perspective. Students will learn about the limited availability of funding and resources in Jamaica.

Students will also observe and interact with individuals who have difficulties with speech, language, hearing, cognition, and/or mobility. In addition, students will have the opportunity to observe the differences between Deaf culture and hearing culture in Jamaica.

Courses

This course will fulfill the CCE requirement.
