Commons is located between the dorms and academic buildings on campus. It is the home to the Commons Dining Hall, Uppercrust, and Johnny's Cafe.

"The Commons"

Located in the center of campus, the Commons Dining Hall is your best bet for a great breakfast to start off your day or a full meal between classes. Commons offers different food concepts such as Piazza, fresh sandwiches at Uppercrust, and rotating Global station menus from stops like Taqueria and Mani Mogo.

Campus Store

Calvin's Campus Store is a great place to find all your Calvin merchandise needs. It also sells the textbooks needed for classes along with office supplies. You can even find basic necessities like toothpaste, headphones and stamps at the store.

Johnny's Cafe

At Johnny's, snag a burger or sandwich from our all-American grill, grab-n-go sandwiches and salads, and an array of beverages and snacks. Throughout the yearyear, Johnny's offers periodic specials to keep things lively.

Take advantage of the Flex meal options to fit your busy schedule. Dine in the cafe at one of several tables, or take your meal to go! 

The perfect stop-over for a quick and satisfying lunch. 

Known for our warm, safe environment, Commons Dining Hall also offers innovative food options and exceptional service—while you relax and rejuvenate between classes. If you like fresh ingredients and service with a smile, visit the Uppercrust, located above Commons Dining Hall or the Piazza for a variety of hot, crispy pizzas, pasta dishes, fresh baked bread sticks, and more.

Open to members of the Calvin community and their accompanied guests. All meal plans, Knight Bucks, Dining Dollars, debit/credit, and meal vouchers are accepted at Commons Dining Hall.

Studios, smart classrooms, theaters and more.

This cutting-edge facility's walk-out ground floor is primarily for audio, video and film production, including the Bytwerk Video Theater. The main floor includes a large public lounge with flexible seating options, a digital media lab, and six "smart" classrooms equipped for tech-heavy courses. The upper floor houses a mix of offices and classrooms.

Grab a quick pick-me-up on your way to class at the DeVos Good to Go Market! 

We feature light snacks such as baked goods, packaged snacks and fruit. In addition, we offer juices, sodas, bottled beverages and coffee.

Open to all members of the Calvin community and their accompanied guests. We accept credit or debit as a form of payment.

We offer excellent quality food, fresh ingredients, and all your grilled favorites. Featuring hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, grilled cheese, Anu Sushi, classic sides, and more grab n go snacks—our recipe is simple: provide fresh ingredients and food that taste good. We pride ourselves on friendly, fast service. Stop by, grab a bite, and a drink. But more importantly, relax!

Dine in at a nearby table and watch students scale the rock climbing wall, or take your lunch to go.

Selections include gourmet sandwiches, salads and veggie and hummus packaged daily for quick take-out. In addition we offer sport drinks and bottled beverages. Visit the attached spirit store and grab the latest Calvin wear for the next big game. Throughout the year the Knight Way Cafe offers events before games to pump up school spirit.
