Undecided? You don’t have to start your major with your whole career path figured out. The design of the Calvin Core lets you change your study path even two or three years into your university experience.

Pre-K to 12th Grade
Work with students of all ages in specialized subject areas:

Early Childhood
Guide young learners at the very beginning of their academic journey.
- Birth to Kindergarten
- Pre-K to 3rd grade
Elementary Education
Two grade bands can be earned independently to specialize in lower or upper elementary or combined to span the elementary years.
- Pre-K to 3rd grade
- 3rd grade to 6th grade
Special Education
Earn the K-12 Cognitive Impairment endorsement on the Michigan teaching certificate. Complete this degree independently or combine with another certifiable major or minor.
Secondary Education
Two grade bands—5th to 9th grade and 7th to 12th grade—can be combined or earned independently.

Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT)
A year-long intensive program for those with a bachelor's degree who want to become teachers.
Master of Education (MEd)
For teachers, principals, and others interested in P-12 education. Choose a fully online program (literacy or inclusion concentrations) or hybrid learning (educational leadership or curriculum and instruction concentrations).
