Dani Kimble

Danielle “Dani” Kimble is a graduate of Temple University, where she obtained a Master of Education in Dance Education. She is also a graduate of The University of Akron where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Dance. Throughout her academic studies she gained professional performance and teaching experience in Hip-Hop dance. During her undergraduate studies, Dani performed as a member of Hip-Hop dance crew, Ill’u’syn, performing for Madison Square Gardens, ESPNU, BET 106 & Park, Rucker Park in Harlem, Blaze the Stage at Symphony Center and New York University, Usher’s Fragrance Promotion, Cleveland Cavaliers and the Dave Thomas Adoption Foundation. She was accepted into the School of Jacob’s Pillow, training inCultural Traditions: A Hip-Hop Continuum under the direction of Rennie Harris, Moncell Durden, Steve “Mr. Wiggles” Clemente, Marjory Smarth, Tony “YNot” DeNaro and Cachet Ivey. Upon completion she was awarded the Professional Advancement in Dance. Dani frequently serves as honorarium professor for The University of Akron, teaching Cultural Foundations of Hip-Hop Dance. She conducts extensive research in the field of Hip-Hop Dance Culture, with support from pioneers of the field. Dani is currently the Director of Performing Arts at Albert Einstein Academy in Westlake, Ohio. She believes Hip-Hop Culture provides youth access to a quality arts education curriculum and allows for creative and authentic expression.
