2019 Green Team Applications

The Plaster Creek Stewards Green Team is a Calvin College based opportunity for local high school students to participate in a 3-week paid position combining education and work.  The focus of this program is to educate participants about public health and environmental justice issues related to Plaster Creek, and help them develop job skills necessary for addressing these issues.  These three week sessions will include some classroom time, greenhouse and plant nursery training at Calvin College, as well as field-based work that will include restoration plantings, invasive species removals and stream clean-ups.  Work will be done as a team of 4 high school students working together with Calvin College summer research students as well as faculty and staff from Calvin College.  Students who are selected will work 26 hours per week for 3 weeks and will be paid an hourly rate of $9.45/hour. 

Summer Session I    June 24- July 11th

Summer Session II    July 15-August 1^st
