The Polarization of American Christianity: Elias Jesus assisted Calvin History Professor Kristin DuMez with research on the current state of polarization within the American Christian environment, exploring Hillary Clinton's loss in the 2016 presidential election, and her place as one of the most influential political figures in recent American history. Her career, and her legacy, can be best understood in the context of the polarization of American Christianity. This project situates Clinton's personal and political life in the context of American religious history, from the 1950's to the present.
