Brandon’s extensive experience using substances has gained him valuable insights into the complexities of substance use, recovery, and the socio-economic impact it has on individuals and communities.
This, along with 13 years’ experience working in the substance use disorder/public health field, has uniquely equipped him for his role as Technical Advisor for Michigan’s Opioid Settlement Funds. By sharing his personal narrative, he hopes to challenge the stigma associated with substance use and inform others to advocate for policies that are evidence-based and prioritize compassion and inclusiveness.
