History Internships (HIST 393) Info Meeting

  • Wednesday, October 14, 2020
  • 3:30 PM–4:30 PM
  • Hiemenga Hall 466

Are you a junior or senior interested in doing an internship this spring? HIST 393 is an internship course designed specifically for history students. Put your historical skills to use working in organizations like museums, archives, historical societies, or local non-profits. HIST 393 counts as an elective for the History major. Applications are required to participate (due November 15). Find out more about HIST 393 and download an application form here: https://calvin.edu/academics/departments-programs/history/student-experience/internships/

A note about internships and Covid-19: like everything else, internships may look different this year due to the pandemic. While we expect that on-site internships will be available this spring, remote internships will also be available at some organizations. Now more than ever, it’s important to start looking for a position early to be sure you can secure an internship that meets your needs.

If you are interested and want to find out more about HIST 393 and internship opportunities for you as a history student, please attend this in-person meeting, two weeks from today. If you are unable to attend the meeting but are thinking about doing an internship this spring, please contact Professor Kate van Liere.
