The Career Center’s annual Employer Conference will focus on two areas: strengthening your organization’s diversity strategy through developing inclusive leaders, as well as creating a strategic interviewing process. The conference will start with lunch, followed by two sessions.

Session One: “Developing Inclusive Leaders”
Dr. Christina Edmondson, Dean of Intercultural Student Development, Calvin College

  • As a Certified Cultural Intelligence facilitator, Christina is committed to bringing diverse people together to promote personal and team flourishing. This session will strengthen your organization’s diversity efforts through developing leaders who are inclusive, in both their management style and hiring practices.

Session Two: “Strategic Interviewing”
TaRita Johnson, Director of Career Center at Calvin College

  • Organizations spend a significant amount of time and treasure on interviewing. While spotting talent in an interview can be straightforward, identifying a candidate’s cultural fit is not as easy. This session will equip you to create a well-oiled interview process that yields the best candidates for your organization’s opportunities and culture – candidates that you can retain, not just attract. TaRita holds Korn Ferry and DDI Certification in Behavioral Based Interviewing.
