Join the Calvin Wind Ensemble for its final concert of the 2013-14 season! A varied program will feature music that makes reference to other things, whether it be another composer, geographical location, or aspect of popular culture. Program highlights include: Percy Grainger’s Blithe Bells, Calvin Trumpet Instructor Gregory Alley on Alan Hovanhess’ Prayer of St. Gregory, Aaron Copland’s Emblems, and Scott McAllister’s PopCopy. Come celebrate a diverse evening with “’referential treatment!” This concert is free and open to the public; no tickets are required.
