The next Mathematics & Statistics Department Colloquium welcomes Dr. Gerard Venema, Calvin Emeritus Professor of Mathematics as the guest speaker.
All are cordially invited to join us for the October 13 Mathematics & Statistics Department Colloquium, to network over treats and listen to a fascinating lecture by Gerard Venema. Light refreshments will be served in the Reading Room at 3:00 pm, immediately followed by the lecture in NH 276.

Title: The Amazing Cantor Set
Abstract: In this talk I will review the definition of the Cantor Set and describe several of its amazing mathematical properties.
