The Calvin Wind Ensemble concludes its 2014-15 concert season with a collection of “Keyboard Classics.” The program features works that were originally intended for keyboard instruments that have been adapted (either by the composer or another arranger) to fit the modern-day concert band. Highlights include Gordon Jacob’s arrangement of Renaissance virginal tunes in William Byrd Suite, Variations on “America” by Charles Ives, and Gazebo Dances by Pulitzer Prize-winning composer, John Corigliano. The concert will be held on Saturday, May 2 at 8:00 pm in the CFAC Auditorium.
