- Lake Drive Greenhouse
Start your summer weekend by joining with Plaster Creek Stewards to transplant the hard working native Michigan plants that we use in our green infrastructure projects. Transplant them and they will grow!
Join our summer series of Transplanting Parties! Bring a friend out to the greenhouse at 3770 Lake Drive and transplant a few flats of tiny sprouts so that they can grow deep roots to slow and filter stormwater before it reaches Plaster Creek. These transplants will continue to grow through the summer and get installed this fall or next spring in a variety of green infrastructure projects throughout the Plaster Creek watershed and beyond. They do the heavy lifting of stormwater filtering, while also providing habitat (food, clean water, shelter) for pollinators and birds. Plaster Creek Stewards uses tens of thousands of plants each year and volunteers help to make it all happen. This is a family friendly event!
