Author and journalist Jeff Chu reflects on his book, Does Jesus Really Love Me?, his struggles with faith and sexuality, and the lessons he learned recently gathering the stories of gay Christians in East Africa.
Jeff Chu’s book Does Jesus Really Love Me?: A Gay Christian’s Pilgrimage in Search of God in America is part memoir and part investigative analysis that explores the explosive and confusing intersection of faith, politics, and sexuality in Christian America. Library Journal called it: “Poignant, at times painful, and spiced with wry humor, this is a must-read for LGBT people on their own spiritual journeys or anyone interested in reconciling religion with sexuality.” Jeff is a journalist by trade, a winsome writer and speaker, and an elder at Old First Reformed Church in Brooklyn, NY.
