A lecture with Greg Braun, retired deputy global chief creative officer at Commonwealth//McCann in Detroit. He will speak on “Creativity: 18 Insights from Around the World”
At Commonwealth//McCann in Detroit, Braun worked on the Chevrolet brand worldwide. Prior to that he was the
national executive creative director at Innocean USA in Huntington Beach, California. In addition to Chevrolet, his clients have included Toyota, United Airlines, BMW, Starbucks, Citibank, and Hyundai. He has created advertising for the Super Bowl, the Oscars, and FIFA World Cup.
Braun’s work has been recognized with Clio and Effie awards, Ad Age’s Best Ad of the Year, the One Show’s Best Automotive Advertising of the Year, and the Grand Award at the New York Festivals. He’s been a judge for the One Show, Clios, London Internationals, and the Emmy Awards, and his work is included in the Museum of Modern Art’s permanent collection. Braun will return to Calvin this spring to teach a new course: Advertising and Communication Strategies (COMM 286).
