Here at Calvin, we are all about renewal. Join the Calvin Wind Ensemble on Saturday, November 12 for an evening of various “Transformations” portrayed through music. This diverse program opens with Duende, a set of symphonic preludes by Spanish composer Luis Serrano Alarcon; this work is about personal change into a state of inspiration and perceptiveness. Explore motivic development through the craftsmanship of Joseph Schwantner and Gustav Holst. The concert culminates with Keith Wilson’s transcription of Paul Hindemith’s masterwork, Symphonic Metamorphosis. Come be transformed through an evening of meaningful music-making! The concert begins at 8:00 pm and will be held in the Covenant Fine Arts Center Auditorium.
