Career Brunch with Vonda Brunsting

  • Tuesday, March 22, 2022
  • 10:30 AM–11:30 AM
  • Hiemenga Hall 339

Come to a Career Brunch with Vonda Brunsting, a prominent economist, stewardship advocate, not-for profit leader, climate change policy expert, responsible investment promoter, and more. Brunsting is currently the Program Manager for the Initiative for Responsible Investment at Harvard University’s Kennedy School Center for Public Leadership. Her current project focuses on the role of investors in advancing a just transition to a low carbon economy, where she has been working closely with the Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility. She is also serving on the Investment Committee for the Unitarian Universalist Common Endowment Fund, which is working to include racial justice in a portfolio-wide approach.

Brunsting previously worked as the Director of the Capital Stewardship Program at the Service Employees International Union; as a community organizer in Chicago, New York, and Boston; and co-founded the Trustee Leadership Forum for Retirement Security at IRI. A 1989 Calvin graduate with her Masters in Public Policy from the University of Chicago, Brunsting notes “the topics that currently animate me are around climate, racial justice, and worker’s rights, particularly focused on racial justice.”

Seating is limited for this event, and you must RSVP to reserve a place.  Email Ellen Hekman to register (elh4@calvin.edu) and include the name of the speaker for this event, your cell phone number (for reminder purposes) and any dietary restrictions you have.
