A Wrinkle in Time Matinee Performance

A Wrinkle in Time

by Madeleine L’Engle, adapted by John Glore, directed by Dr. Debra Freeberg

A Wrinkle in Time, L’Engle’s beloved children’s classic, takes to the Gezon stage in November, as the Calvin Theatre Company explores what it means to dwell in home and hope. Meg Murray with braces, stubbornness and her fierce love of family, battles the forces of evil to rescue her father, save her family, and perhaps the world. Joining forces with three mysterious women—Mrs. Whatsit, Mrs. Who, and Mrs. Which—her brother Charles Wallace, and the dreamy Calvin O'Keefe, she travels across galaxies to wrest her Father and Charles Wallace from the darkness of IT. Though harrowing at times, the story proves two things: first, that Love can overcome Evil and, second, there is such a thing as a Tesseract! Audiences ages 5 to 105 will be captivated by this vivid theatrical retelling of A Wrinkle in Time.

November 8, 9, 14, 15, 16 at 7:30 p.m. and November 13  at 10:00 a.m, Gezon Auditorium

Sponsored by Calvin Theatre Company and the Communication Department. A Wrinkle in Time is part of the 2019-20 arts season: Create, Unite, Renew: Dwelling Together, as CTC explores themes of home and hope. For more information on the 2019-20 arts season, see: calvin.edu/arts
