Drupal training
Drupal Manager Training
- Required training for access to make general edits across the website
- 1–1.5 hours to complete; does not have to be done in one sitting
- Connect to Calvin's LinkedIn Learning to access one of the modules, if you haven't already
- Each unit (i.e. office, department, org, etc.) can have up to 2 Drupal managers
After completing the training, feel free to submit a web request or email marketing@calvin.edu for 1:1 training or support as needed.
Drupal Events Training
- Optional training for Drupal managers to better understand calendar events
- Required for any employee (including student workers) who needs access to add or edit calendar events only
Drupal Events training for employees
Student org leaders who are not employees will not have access to the training in Workday Learning. Instead, visit the "Share My Event" page for the Drupal Events training for non-employees.
Drupal Reference Guides
After completing the trainings, use these reference guides for a detailed look at various content and media types.
These include events, "person" bio pages, images, and more.
How to work with web team
There are two methods for updating your section of calvin.edu.
Preferred: Send your request to your unit's Drupal manager.
“Drupal managers” are trained and responsible for making basic content updates. This is often an administrative assistant or department coordinator.
Drupal managers can make updates such as:
- Text edits
- Image updates
- Events
- Profile pages
- Policy changes
Don't have a Drupal manager in your unit? Have your admin or another employee complete the Drupal manager and/or Drupal events trainings above to get access.
Submit a web request if it's beyond the scope of a Drupal manager.
If your needs are beyond the scope of a Drupal manager or if additional support is needed, you can submit a web request.
Examples of requests include:
- Create or delete a webpage
- Change a side menu
- Help with page layouts and designs blocks
- Upload PDFs or non-image files
- Report an issue
- 1:1 training (after completing the online training)
- Brainstorm a new idea
We may take up to 5 days to complete simple requests. More complex requests may take longer, but we will communicate with you.
