Fall 2026 launches new GEO majors at Calvin

This fall, two new GEO majors are available, each with different tracks to fit your interests and career goals! More information is coming soon; in the meantime, please contact us if you're interested in these new programs and have questions. The new majors are:

Earth and Environmental Science Major

• Geoscience track (geology, geoscience, oceans, Earth)
• Environmental Science track (water resources, climate, land management, Earth)

Environmental Sustainability and Geography Major

• Geography track (geography, mapping and GIS, cities, remote sensing, urban planning)
• Sustainability track (human-environment interaction, environmental studies, environmental law and policy, naturalist studies, sustainability)
