Student Organizations
There are several Calvin University student organizations of particular relevance to students interested in computer science.
Abstraction
Abstraction attempts to bring distinction and acclaim to the computer science field in a way that honors Christ. It provides student web services, sponsors speakers and activities, and offers an organizational base for internship and job opportunities.
Women in Computing
We aim to increase the retention, competence, and confidence of women in technology at Calvin University by creating a sense of belonging in community and by providing opportunities to further develop their technical skills.
Girls Who Code
A free after-school program that lets secondary school girls use computer science to impact their community and join a sisterhood of supportive peers and role models.
