Request official transcripts online through the National Student Clearinghouse. Alternative official transcript ordering methods, unofficial transcripts, and transcripts from closed institutions are available as outlined below.
Do I need an official or unofficial transcript? Official transcripts are most often used to verify your education for licensing organizations, graduate schools, employers, or for transferring credits, and can be sent directly to a third party. Unofficial transcripts are free of charge and intended for personal use and reference. They do not contain the Calvin seal or the Registrar’s signature as official transcripts do and cannot be sent directly to a third party.
Request your official transcript online
Both electronic pdf and printed official transcripts should be ordered through the Clearinghouse website and will be processed within 1-2 business days of receiving the request.
Steps:
- Enter the Clearinghouse website.
- Follow the step-by-step instructions to place your order.
- You can order as many transcripts as you like in a single session.
- You can upload a pdf document to be submitted along with your transcript request if needed. You will be presented with the option while placing your order.
Printed transcripts will automatically be:
Signed by the registrar
Imprinted with the university seal
- Packaged in a sealed envelope.
Associated Fees: Transcripts are $5 per copy, plus a Clearinghouse processing charge of around $3 per order. Payment is made using a valid credit card.
Pre-1991 disclaimer: All official transcripts for students whose attendance ended before 1991 will need to be ordered for delivery by mail or office pick-up. Electronic delivery is not possible for these transcripts. Due to the way these documents are stored, the signature and seal must be added to the physical transcript and cannot be added electronically. These transcripts should still be ordered via the Clearinghouse.
Tracking your order: You will receive email notifications when your consent form has been received by NSC and when your request has been processed by Calvin. You can check your order status or history online at anytime.
If you need help or have questions about the NSC transcript ordering service, email transcripts@studentclearinghouse.org or call (703) 742-7791.
