Join Us for Creative Exploration! 

Participants of all skill levels are invited to explore journal making, acrylic plein air painting, and pottery glazing in our upcoming workshops.

Thursday Evening Nature Journaling Club | September 26, October 3, 10, 24, 31 | 6:30-8 PM 

Document the world around you with written or sketched observations and share them at this meeting for every skill level. Use any nature you have access to - your living space, a park, or the landscaping at your school. Any kind of nature is worth documenting! Bring your own journal.

Pottery Workshop | Saturday, November 2 | 1-4 PM

Humans have long drawn inspiration from nature to adorn cups, bowls, vases, and other everyday objects. Come continue this timeless tradition by painting or carving your own cup, vase, or planter with us!

Junk Journal Workshop | Thursday, September 19 | 6-8 PM

Revitalize an old book by transforming it into a unique art journal with mixed media and "junk" pages. We'll supply the books, mixed media paper, and necessary tools. Just bring 8-10 "junk" pages--from magazine clippings, old book pages, or schoolwork. We’ll discuss art and nature journaling and invite you to return for a Thursday evening nature journal club* this fall. Light snacks provided; bring your own drink.

Plein Air Painting Workshop | Saturday, October 5 | 12:30-4:30 PM

Capture the essence of the Preserve landscape during this plein air workshop. Weather permitted, we'll paint "in the open air" over the course of the afternoon. This workshop will open with all participants in an instructor-led painting session and then you'll choose a new view and paint a second panel independently with instructor support. All supplies and a snack are included. Bring your own beverage.
