Winter/Spring 2026 Nature Kids (all take place 9–10:30 AM):
Wellness in the Woods
Open to Calvin students, employees, and the community.
Picture a place where you have felt calm and at peace. Does it include nature? For many of us, the answer is yes! We are creatures, designed to connect with creation. Research tells us that spending time outside has a variety of physical, mental, and emotional benefits.
We'll guide you as you lean into the renewing practices of prayer, group reflection, and personal observation.
This free program is available by request for your group. Contact preserve@calvin.edu for scheduling.
Saplings
Open to pre-K children ages 2–5 with a caregiver.
Join us on Tuesdays and Thursdays for a nature-focused pre-K experience! Themes are nature-inspired to develop an understanding and love for the world we inhabit.
Your first class is on us! Then, purchase a $25 Saplings punch card for 10 visits and a free Saplings t-shirt for your children.
Summer Day Camps
Open to ages 6–14.
All camp sessions include a blend of nature exploration, creative activities, and engaging games tied to the camp theme. We always aim to spend as much time outside as we can!
Weekend Wonder
Open to adults and older children; activities for children 3+ provided by our environmental educators.
We believe that wonder knows no season, so bring your curiosity to this once-a-month Saturday series. Held at the Bunker Interpretive Center, we're bringing in experts of all kinds to increase your knowledge, skills, and joy for the world around us.
