You will gain expertise enabling you to pursue a vocation with a broad spectrum of clients through personal training, cardiac rehabilitation, health club leadership, or corporate fitness programming. As a kinesiology major with a pre-professional emphasis, you can choose from pre-physical therapy, pre-physician assistant, or pre-medical. Kinesiology directly supervises our pre-physical therapy. As a physical therapist, you will help your patients to improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disability. Calvin's program offers the opportunity to be certified as both a therapeutic recreation specialist and as a child life specialist, which will help you land a job in a variety of places like at-risk youth homes or rehabilitation programs.
