Model United Nations (MUN) is a simulation of the United Nations. Students role-play as delegates representing nations on a variety of issues. The primary goal is to equip participants with an understanding of what it means to be a diplomat. The purpose of Calvin University’s Model United Nations team is to provide students with disciplined, practical engagement in international affairs. Through conference participation, students confront the realities of political life, including competing interests, moral limits, and imperfect institutions. Grounded in a Christian understanding of justice and human dignity, the team prepares students to pursue faithful, responsible leadership in law, politics, humanitarian effort, and public life.
