Visa Status

In order to pay a nonresident foreign visitor for services, the individual must enter the United States in a visa status that allows Calvin University to issue payment.

The matrix below provides guidance on whether Calvin can make a payment to a foreign visitor. Immigration law restricts these types of payments.

Please direct any questions regarding proper visa status to the Human Resources Office at least four months prior to arriving at Calvin University.
