Course Registration

After your first semester, you can register for classes online. To officially enroll in classes each semester, you are required to register for your schedule well in advance.

Normally, you should plan to take between 12 and 18 semester hours during the fall and/or spring terms. Students should average 15.5 credits per term to graduate in 8 semesters. To prepare for registration, we suggest that you meet with an academic advisor at least once each semester.

Graduate students: To register for classes, you can either contact your advisor, email successcenter@calvin.edu or self-register.

See your advisor

Meet with your advisor before registering to compile a list of course sections that you may take. Your advisor should verify that you have been advised through Workday (for Spring 2024 registration).

Know your registration time

To find your registration time, view your registration apppointment in Workday (Learn how.). Sign up for your planned classes as soon as Calvin's registration schedule allows. Upcoming registration availability dates are posted below.
