Prepare for professional work or doctoral study in speech-language pathology with our residential two-year master's degree. We also offer an online master's degree.
Speech pathology and audiology is one of the top fields for career growth in the United States, providing a fulfilling, flexible career in a wide range of settings. At Calvin, through your master's program, you'll work in our on-campus Speech & Hearing Clinic, providing care for patients studying the causes and treatment of a variety of disorders, all within the supporting framework of reformed Christian faith. You will also have the option of completing a thesis at the end of the program.
Accreditation
The Masters of Arts (M.A.) education program in speech-language pathology (residential and distance education) at Calvin University is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, 2200 Research Boulevard, #310, Rockville, MD 20850, 800-498-2071 or 301-296-5700.
Admissions
Prospective graduate applicants with a bachelor's degree related to speech pathology and audiology or a bachelor's degree in another discipline along with prerequisite coursework may apply to the Speech Pathology MA program. Applications are submitted through CSDCAS.
For prospective students without the prerequisite coursework, we offer a Speech and Hearing Foundations certificate to prepare for applying to the master's program.
