Student Employment
You can help cover some of your university expenses by taking advantage of the many student job opportunities on campus and in the Grand Rapids area.
On-campus jobs
Take advantage of more than 1,200 on-campus jobs available to Calvin students. You can earn approximately $3,000 during the academic year by working 10–12 hours a week. You can increase that number by finding a student job on campus during the summer.

Federal work-study funds are available, but you do not need to be work-study eligible to apply for an on-campus job.
Off-campus jobs
Calvin is located in a large metropolitan area with many stores, restaurants, hospitals, non-profit organizations, and businesses that employ our students. Many student jobs, including those for families needing assistance with childcare, yard work, and cleaning are also posted at Calvin Handshake.
