StreetFest introduces students to the city of Grand Rapids and the concept of service-learning. It ignites passion for service and justice in the community throughout their time at Calvin and beyond!
StreetFest is an annual event that takes place during new student orientation, now on its 34th year! Groups of new students, faculty, and staff venture beyond Calvin's campus into the surrounding community. They parter with over 50 community organizations and churches in Grand Rapids to both serve and learn. Students learn about the needs of the city through the lens of the organizations with which they are serving, growing familiar with the community they are joining through conversation and action.
