Highlights

Join theatre experts Debra Freeberg and Gary Schmidt for a four-day trip to the Stratford Festival in Ontario. You'll have the opportunity to view and discuss these plays: 

• Anne of Green Gables
• The Merchant of Venice
• The Taming of the Shrew
• Hamlet
• Mary Poppins

The tour experience includes daily group discussions led by Debra and Gary and a talkback with actors after one or two performances as well as plenty of free time. See the Stratford Festival's 2027 season announcement for a brief synopsis of each performance. 

Trip leaders

Debra Freeberg, professor of theatre emerita, and Gary Schmidt, professor of English emeritus, have led multiple CALL and student tours to the Stratford Festival. Each day, they'll host a discussion of the performances viewed the day before—often cited as the most popular part of this tour!

Cost

The estimated price for this tour is $1965 for double occupancy or $2340 for single rooms. Final pricing will be available when registration opens.
