Laura Smit lecture March 19
Do you associate the Reformed tradition with beauty?

Many people assume that this tradition is anti-beauty, but this lecture will aim to convince you that the Reformed tradition is beauty affirming in a unique way.

Dr. Laura Smit has been teaching theology at Calvin University since 1999. She especially loves teaching classes about ancient and medieval theology, as well her class on the theology of beauty.  She’s the author of a book on unrequited love and a commentary on the book of Judges.  She’s also a pastor at Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church (ECO) in Grand Rapids.

Sponsored by the Department of Religion
