Join theatre experts Debra Freeberg and Gary Schmidt for a four-day trip to the Stratford Festival in Ontario. You'll have the opportunity to view and discuss these plays:
- Guys and Dolls
- The Hobbit
- The Importance of Being Earnest
- A Midsummer Night's Dream
- The Tempest
The tour experience includes daily group discussions led by Debra and Gary, a talkback with actors after one or two performances, and a backstage tour as well as plenty of free time. See the Stratford Festival's 2026 season announcement for a brief synopsis of each performance.
Trip leaders
Debra Freeberg, professor of theatre emerita, and Gary Schmidt, professor of English, have led multiple CALL and student tours to the Shakespeare Festival. Each day, they'll host a discussion of the performances viewed the day before—often cited as the most popular part of these tours!
