Biography

Tiffany Engle joined the music faculty at Calvin University in 2005. In addition to conducting Calvin’s Symphonic Band, Orchestra, and Wind Ensemble, she teaches courses in Woodwind Methods, Conducting, and Applied Saxophone. Dr. Engle also coordinates the chamber winds program and leads Calvin’s Pep Band. Still in the early stages of her career, Dr. Engle has brought a freshness and vitality to the music-making in Calvin’s band program. With her leadership, the support of passionate faculty, and the dedication of talented students, Calvin’s band program continues to elevate its musical artistry and grow in Christian community.

Dr. Engle is deeply committed to service that inspires rich musical involvement in the lives of others. She is the director of Calvin’s Knollcrest Music Camp, a summer program for junior high and high school students. Dr. Engle is in high demand as a clinician, working with various school ensembles in the West Michigan area. She is also the conductor of the Rockford Community Band, a position she has held since January 2008.

Dr. Engle also remains an active performer on saxophone, both as a soloist and as a member of the Lake Effect Saxophone Quartet.
