During construction this fall, men’s and women’s soccer will play on Calvin’s new Zuidema Soccer Field (map and directions). The new soccer stadium and football building are planned to be built and open for use by the fall of 2024.

Lacrosse will play on the new soccer field until construction of a new football stadium; their locker rooms will remain located in the main field house until that time.

Football will be housed in their permanent locker room in the new football building when it is completed. The football team will practice on the lower field, formerly home (for practice) to the men’s soccer team.

Library staff and services will be open and operating on the fourth and fifth floors of Hekman Library during the 2023–2024 academic year.

During the 2023–24 academic year, the entrance into the library will be from the Hiemenga Hall entrance, near the southeast corner of the building (facing Calvin Seminary and near the fireplace lobby). From there, elevator and stairwell access to the fourth and fifth floors will be available and clearly marked.

The CFAC parking lot will effectively be sliced in two by the construction zone; there will not be any traffic flow all the way around the CFAC. There will be parking on both the north (primary) and the south side facing the seminary building (more limited), but cars will not be able to drive from one end to the other. Walkways, however, will allow foot traffic to pass through adjacent to the construction zone.

Parking for the Speech and Hearing Clinic will generally be located on the west side of the engineering building. Parking is plentiful there, and new crosswalks have been installed on the ring road between the clinic site and its new parking lot.
