Enroll in Entrada

If you are already admitted to Calvin, it's easy!

Look for your next steps in an email from Entrada Scholars. If you can’t find it, email us: entrada@calvine.edu.

Here's what you'll need to do:

  • After you’ve been admitted to Calvin, you’ll fill out a short Entrada application. (We've linked it in the email, and started filling out the form for you!) There are four short questions—it should only take about 15 or 20 minutes.
  • Send one letter of recommendation to entrada@calvin.edu
(If you applied with the Common Application, we will use those recommendations!)

Eligibility

  • U.S. citizenship or legal permanent residency.
  • A high school grade point average of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale).
  • Admitted to Calvin University as a student for the Fall semester.

How to Apply

The application will open October 2024.

More about what you can expect

1. Faith and Learning

Choose a course that interests you and be taught by a professor who is a committed Christian and loves teaching. You’ll learn alongside other Entrada students and current Calvin students. You’ll also get your own academic coach who will help you do your very best.

2. College Credit

You’ll learn a lot! That means you’ll earn college credits that count towards your degree at Calvin or a different school of your choice. (The Calvin registrar’s office can assist with transferring your credits.)

3. College Living

Make friends! You’ll live in the dorms with your fellow Entrada students and enjoy college campus benefits like the gymnasium, pool, and dining hall. You’ll also gain access to campus activities like worship services, Bible studies, plus service learning opportunities in the Grand Rapids community.

4. Money for College

Entrada Scholars get between $6,000–$10,000 in scholarships which renew each year they’re an undergraduate student at Calvin. (The $10,000 includes a $4,000 Entrada Scholars award, a $4,000 Mosaic Award, and the $2,000 Visit Grant—plus an additional $3,000 award if you’re the first student in your immediate family to complete a bachelor’s degree. See more details.)
