  • Wednesday, February 9, 2022
  • 8:00 AM–9:00 AM
  • Hiemenga Hall 468

  • What's it like to work on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C.?

  • What really happens behind the scenes in a congressional office?

  • What's the difference between working in a district office and the Washington D.C. Office for a U.S. Congressman?

  • What's it like to work on a political campaign?

All of these questions, and more can be answered by our next Career Breakfast speaker!

Join Dan Kotman, a 2006 Calvin Political Science and Communication graduate who currently serves as the Communications Director and Deputy Chief of Staff to Michigan Congressman Tim Walberg. He is in the District Office now, and worked in the Walberg Capitol Hill office in D.C. for a number of years before moving back to Michigan. Over the past 15 years, he has worked for a number of elected officials, campaigns, and advocacy organizations at both the state and national level, and his extensive experience in the political arena encompasses press and communication duties, as well as staffing, administration, legislation and policy areas.

You must reserve a place for this Career Breakfast by contacting Ellen Hekman (elh4@calvin.edu).  Include any dietary restrictions you have, and also send your cell phone number for text reminder purposes.
