Calvin SOH Expanded Statement of Mission

In all things, we strive to be faithful to our God. Our recognition of the goodness of God reflected in His creation prompts us to live peacefully and wholeheartedly with ourselves, our neighbors, and the natural environment, seeking justice and the shared welfare for all. We seek to understand and address health disparities and the social determinants of health.

Our authentic engagement with community members and groups, healthcare organizations, and educational institutions forge mutually beneficial partnerships founded on deep listening, mutual trust, and respect. Through teaching, research, scholarship, and service, the SOH seeks to promote the welfare of the city and healing of the world.
