Nicholas Scobey

Biography

Nic serves as the Career Coach for students in Biology, Chemistry, and Environmental & Health Sciences. After graduating from Calvin with a Biology degree, he worked in several health care settings: Pine Rest Christian Mental Hospital, Catherine’s Health Center, and Spectrum Health. Upon turning down the opportunity to attend medical school, Nic instead pursued an M.Ed. in College Student Affairs Leadership from Grand Valley State University, during which time he worked as an academic advisor and partnered with faculty to develop academic service-learning. He and his wife currently serve as live-in house mentors for Calvin’s Project Neighborhood program.
