Before You Arrive Tech Checklist

New Calvin students should work through these steps to make their transition to Calvin University as smooth as possible.

Step 1: Check computer requirements

Check if your computer or the computer you want to buy meets the recommended minimum requirements.

Step 2: Update your Web browser and all plugins

The most effective defense against internet attacks is to the keep your computer browser up-to-date with the latest security patches. Update your browser and plugins regularly as needed.

Step 3: Download the latest antivirus software

Antivirus software is a necessary defense against malicious programs on your computer. If you do not already have antivirus software, you can download free antivirus software recommended by CIT.

Step 4: Set-up your Calvin account

Set up your Calvin account. You will need your Calvin ID number or Calvin username. These can be found on your application status page.
