Calvin senior interdisciplinary major Joe Salowitz placed second in The Yardsticks, a design competition open to local college students majoring in advertising and design. Salowitz, who won a painted gold yardstick for his ad design for a local company, Boxed Water is Better, will also receive a letter of recommendation from one of the professional designers who served as a judge. “That was the most valuable part … networking with peers and really talented creatives in the area,” said Salowitz.
