Calvin Classic 5k Run/Walk/Handcycle

The Calvin Classic 5K has been bringing community members together for a fun, energizing morning for over 30 years. This fall, we'll be hosting both an in-person AND virtual race on October 5, 2024. Join us in whatever way works for you, near or far during Calvin's Homecoming and Family Weekend.

Who can participate?

Everyone can run! Runners and handcyclists of all ages, young and old; fast and not-so-fast.

5k Run/Walk

This race starts at 8:30 a.m.

The USATF certified 5K course runs through Calvin's scenic, relatively flat college campus. The 5K race will begin with the handcycle racers starting just before the runners, and walkers starting just behind the runners. Please note: Strollers are welcome, but must stay at the back of the race. Bicycles, rollerblades, skateboards and animals are not allowed on the course. Strollers may enter using the handcycle entrance in Lot 6. All participants must be registered and have a race number to participate.

5k Handcycle

Handcycle racers will start just before runners. Handcycle racers must yield to runners in the event that the runners catch up with handcycle racers.
