A two-time MIAA Player of the Week, Brink was named to the All-MIAA first team earlier this month. In an 83-75 upset victory over second-ranked Washington University of St. Louis in the second round of the NCAA III Tournament, he tallied a double-double with 27 points and 11 rebounds.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Calvin College junior Breanna Verkaik has been named to the D3hoops.com Great Lakes All-Region third team. She is receiving D3hoops.com Great Lakes All-Region honors for the first time.
A native of Holland and a graduate of Holland Christian High School, Verkaik had a break-out season this year, averaging 15.3 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.1 assists-per-game.

At the conclusion of the MIAA season, she was named to the all-conference first team. She was also named MIAA Player of the Week once.
The Calvin women's basketball team finished 19-8 overall and 12-4 in the MIAA which was good for a third place league finish. The Knights then reached the MIAA Tournament finals before falling to Hope to end the season.
