Dan Aultman Named to NABC All-District 2nd Team in Men's Basketball

        Aultman Named to NABC Great Lakes All-District Team

Calvin College junior Dan Aultman has been named to the Division III Great
Lakes All-District second team in men's basketball team by the National
Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).

It marks the sixth straight year that a Calvin men's basketball player has
received NABC Division III All-District honors.

A native of Ludington and a graduate of Mason County Central High School,
Aultman is receiving post-season honors for the third time this year as he was
previously named to the All-MIAA first team and D3hoops.com Great Lakes
All-Region third team.

In his first year on the Calvin team this past season, Aultman led the Knights
in scoring with an average of 16.5 points a game. Aultman also averaged 4.9
rebounds a game while connecting on 53.6 percent of his field goal attempts
76.4 percent of his free throw attempts.

Aultman also notched double-digits in scoring in 26 of the 27 games he
appeared in this year with a scoring high of 30 points in a January victory
over Olivet. In addition, he was named MIAA Player of the Week twice during
the year and helped Calvin capture its first MIAA Tournament title since the
2000-2001 season.

Calvin finished the year with a 19-10 overall record including 8-4 in
conference play which was good for third place in the MIAA regular season
standings. In winning the MIAA Tournament, Calvin became the first No. 3 seed
to win the tournament title while also gaining a bid to the NCAA III Tournament
for the first since 2001.

Calvin bowed out of the NCAA III Tournament with an 88-77 first round loss at
John Carroll University. John Carroll would later reach the NCAA III Final
Four and finish third nationally.
