Biography
As the Pre-Health Professions Advising Coordinator, Teri helps students explore careers in the health professions through shadowing experiences in the Grand Rapids area. She also assists with coordinating clinical experiences for students and bringing the medical community to campus to supplement student learning. She is a member of the National Association of Advisors to the Health Professions (NAAHP) and the Central Association of Advisors to the Health Professions (CAAHP). Teri focuses on supporting juniors and seniors engaged in the graduate school application process. She teaches the Pre-Health Professions courses.

Professional Experience
Prior to coming to Calvin, Teri worked at Spectrum Health/Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital as a Pediatric Clinical Research Nurse. As a certified research nurse, she was involved in many clinical trials for pediatrics and has presented research at regional, national and international medical meetings. She brought her healthcare experience to Calvin in 2016.
